2006 marked the 25th Anniversary of the Federation of Communication Services and to celebrate this milestone FCS held a 'once in a generation' event to which the Chairman and the FCS Board welcomed members and special guests. The event, a Drinks Reception and Banquet, followed the FCS Annual General Meeting and, being held in the quiet and tranquil calm of one the most elegant colleges in Oxford, was a welcome break away from the normal fast pace that we all have as part of our daily lives in the telecommunications industry.

 
With the fine collection of art in the elegant wood panelled rooms, and the Cherwell river at the bottom of the beautiful gardens surrounding the college there was a relaxed atmosphere where delegates could reunite and catch up with old friends, make new ones and find out more, through networking, about how their and other sectors are developing and looking to the future growth of this exciting industry. There was entertainment and some fun too with reminiscences and amusing anecdotes, whilst at the dinner, the well known entertainer Mr Barry Cryer OBE was the guest speaker and presenter of the FCS Industry Award trophies - more about the Awards
